Part of His Glorious Plan

God saw all that he had made,
and it was very good.
And there was evening,
and there was morning—the sixth day.
Thus the heavens and the earth were
completed in all their vast array.
By the seventh day
God had finished the work he had been doing;
so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.
~ Genesis 1: 31 – 2:2

All Part of His Glorious Plan

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth
His Spirit hovering over it all
He created day and night
Celebrating the first of countless days to come
God created sky and land
Preparing the world for his ultimate creation
God created plants and trees
Still they echo His beautiful artistry
God then created the moon, sun, and stars
To light the way for mankind
He created the birds of the air and the creatures of the sea
Life now breathing in wondrous delight
He gave life to animals of every kind
And saw that all was good
But still He desired more
God created man and woman
In His own glorious image He created them
Blessing them with ultimate rule over all He placed before them
Walking with them daily
He inspired them, loved them, filling them with who He was
He gave them all He had
Asking nothing in return
A picture of His grace that will forever carry on

Darkness

I will lead the blind by ways they have not known,
along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;
I will turn darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth.
These are the things I will do;
I will not forsake them. ~ Isaiah 42:16

Darkness
Shame
Shifting sand

Spiraling
Plummeting
Nowhere to stand

Contempt
Anger
Rising again

Battling
Torment
Mind filled with sin

Searching
Seeking
Reaching for God’s hand

Praying
Yearning
Waiting to land

Forgiveness
Healing
God’s love so grand

Listening
Learning
Shackles of sin disband

Grace
Mercy
Flowing from God’s hand

Blessed are those…

Ask and it will be given, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds,
and to him who knocks it will be opened.
Matthew 7:7-8

Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun.
Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
do not fret—it leads only to evil.
For those who are evil will be destroyed,
but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.
A little while, and the wicked will be no more;
though you look for them, they will not be found.
But the meek will inherit the land
and enjoy peace and prosperity.

Giving All

No matter what plagues me
God is there always
Lifting me with His Spirit
Helping me make it through each day

He loves me unconditionally
Faults and all
He strengthens me through His power
When I stumble and fall

He gives me support
And peace of mind
Helping me make it through
The most difficult of times

He clears the way for peace
He stretches out His mighty arm
Casting those down
Who mean to cause me harm

He soothes my wounds
Touching my heart deep within
Toward His plan He confidently guides me
When I don’t know where to begin

Thank you God for showering me with Your love
For living in me
Thank you for leading the way
For offering more than I can see

To trust I must let go
Giving all I have to you
I lay my burdens at your feet
For you are my beacon true

You fill me with Your presence
When all seems lost you give me hope
Through You word and much prayer
You always help me cope

Thank you God for being there
For giving all You are
You offered You life for me
Taking my pain and scars

You are awesome Lord
Mighty, wonderful, and wise
I will give all I am to You
To obtain Your eternal prize

Sheep or Goat?

vimeo.com

vimeo.com

But you, why do you judge your brother?
Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt?
For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.
For it is written,
“As surely as I live, says the Lord,
every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will confess to God.”
So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God. ~ Romans 14:10-12

Sheep and Goats

We live in a broken world
The homeless roam the streets without hope
Families fall apart due to selfish flesh
Disrespect is a given among today’s children
And parents have lost command
Schools lie in disarray, considered unimportant
Yet, prison populations continue to spiral out of control
Sex, foul language, and violence fill the television
Video games make killing appear common
War is the norm in many countries
Precious, innocent blood is spilled every day
False prophets are rising up in amazing numbers
40 million babies are aborted every year worldwide
125,000 unborn children are slaughtered daily

Indeed the last days are upon us
Scripture foretells of more to come
Prophecies from thousands of years ago are coming into fruition today
Look around, open your eyes, examine your heart
Where does your allegiance lie?

Please know that one day this will apply to you–Matthew 25:31-46
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne.
All the nations will be gathered before him,
and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance,
the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,
I needed clothes and you clothed me,
I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you,
or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in,
or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you,
whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed,
into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink,
I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me,
I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes
or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these,
you did not do for me.’
“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

So the question still stands—where does your allegiance lie?
You cannot serve two masters—the world and God
You must choose between the two as they are opposing forces
This time I ask…
Are you a sheep or a goat?

This is Your Life

This is Your Life

Sometimes life is harsh
Often it is cruel and unkind
But this is not God’s desire for you
He has so much more in mind

Yes, people will hurt you
They will betray and victimize
Those you love most will turn their back
Leaving you feeling empty inside

It is so easy to get lost in the pain
So tempting to ignore the emotions
Will you allow yourself to become bitter and cold
Walking numbly through life, going through the motions

The choice is ultimately yours to make
Choose a life that is miserable, harsh, and empty
Or a life full of richness, beauty, and joy
No matter your choice there is no guarantee

Life comes with no refunds or exchanges
Instead take the bad with the good
Continually searching for what is right
Moving beyond what can be understood

Take the time to admire the beauty that surrounds you
God’s glory and miracles are everywhere you go
For when life becomes dark, and the light seems to be lost
Remember, God has many blessings and lots of love to bestow

Free!

In this life there is pain and heartache, destruction and evil. But what man seeks to destroy, God can renew. What sin seeks to crush, God can rebuild. What evil seeks to devastate, God can bring hope! God is the God of miracles. He can restore what has been lost and heal what has been broken. Let God in. Give him the chance to transform your painful past into a beautiful and promising future. With Christ all things are possible.

But the people who trust in the Lord will become strong again.
They will rise up as an eagle in the sky;
They will run and not need rest;
They will walk and not become tired

Spirits crushed, soul abandoned
Deep within the cocoon
Where do you begin?
Is there light?
Perhaps a ray of hope to heal the hurt inside?
Anguish lurks in the abyss of the heart
But still the beauty strives within
Longing to escape
To be free from the pain
Let God in
He’s calling you
Allow a chance to trust
Accept the change
Fight for freedom
Fly free
Soar above the pain
There is hope where God resides
To transform the devastation
Into the beautiful butterfly

His Light

Life is filled with surprises–some good and some bad. The good is a true reflection of God’s light; his love for us and his never-ending grace and mercy. It guides us through the storms, leading us out of chaos and confusion. The bad is the darkness of Satan that seeks to devour our happiness and joy. Difficult though it may be, we can rely on the power and strength of God, the light of the Lord to restore and revive our hearts and minds, bringing true joy to our souls that penetrates every fiber of our being. He is righteous, he is just, he is God. He heals, he renews, he strengthens, he enlightens, and he blesses us even when we hover in the realm of darkness.

Hold tight to the Lord! Trust in Him and He will guide your paths! God bless and keep you always.

In His love 🙂

When you walk, they will guide you;
when you sleep, they will watch over you;
when you awake, they will speak to you.
For these commands are a lamp, this teaching is a light,
and the corrections of discipline are the way to life… ~ Proverbs 6:22-23

His Light

It’s so hard to be good
In a world that is so bad
So hard to remain faithful and pure

The lies, the deceit
They spread so easily
No way to escape, there is no door

Bu the light it does shine
Though faintly at first
Over time it devours the dark

Beaming through windows
The warmth feels freeing
It calms my soul, leaving in me its mark

From whence does it come
I look to the heavens
Through the glass that is dirty and cracked

A promise from God
He soothes my wounds with His light
Rebuilding in me all that I have lacked

Lift Me Up

‘I saw the Lord always before me.  Because he is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will live in hope,
because you will not abandon me to the grave,

nor will you let your Holy One see decay.
You have made known to me the paths of life;

you will fill me with joy  in your presence.’  ~Acts 2:25-28

Lift Me Up

Lord, bring about your will, Your desire for my life
Giving me just what I need to grow in strength and love
Revealing to me revelations that change my direction
You reach down with grace from the heavens above

Your words of love and mercy fill me with Your Spirit
Setting my feet on solid ground and placing my heart in Your loving hands
You give me discernment and wisdom when I come humbly and ask
You give me strength to obey Your laws and assertion to take a stand

Continue to walk with me, helping me grow in Your word
Speak to me each day and help me lean on the safety of friends
Give to me discernment and trust, refill my cup of faith
Help me to always rely on You and praise You through to the very end

Lies and Deception!

Smack dab In the middle of life lies confusion, distortion, and destruction! Satan wants nothing more than to rob you of your hope, filling your heart and mind with an endless supply of lies—that there is nothing better than what you have, that you are not worthy of good and wonderful things, that you will never measure up to whom you were created to be so why bother, that you can do whatever you want and no one will care or ever know, that your life is meaningless and has no purpose. LIES!

Each and every one of those thoughts are lies created by Satan meant to deter you from receiving all the Lord has to offer you—direction, clarity, wisdom, discernment, peace, joy, comfort, righteousness, forgiveness, purity, wholeness, love, hope, and so much more!

Why is it that you listen to the lies of the enemy so easily, yet struggle so to believe the truth that exists right in front of you? Why do you knock yourself down and beat yourself up when the Lord accepts you and loves you as you are? Why do you turn your back on the beautiful promises that the Lord brings only to hold onto the brokenness and deception of this world? Why?

Because you are a mere frail, weak human! (Matthew 26:41)

Because you have not let God penetrate your heart to the deepest, darkest parts!

Because it is easier to believe the lies than be vulnerable and exposed by the truth of God!

Because your flesh has desires and cravings for things of this world and does not desire to transform!

God has designed you with perfection in mind, but it cannot now, and never will be attained in this world. This world is designed to strengthen and refine who you are and how you perceive your worth. It is an integral part of shaping you to appreciate the true beauty and glory of God! Think about it!! As you traverse the alleys of doubt, it is the Lord’s truth that brings you clarity and helps you reveal God’s grace to the lost and broken. As you walk the streets of despair, it is God’s comforting love that renews your hope and gives you reason to reach out and encourage others. As you swim in the ocean of sin, it is God’s forgiveness and mercy that cleanse you, building a repentant heart that all can see.

You see, you are in this world to have the time and opportunity to become like Christ! He wants you to grow in your faith, renew you heart, and fill your soul to overflowing with His power, His might, and His glory! You are an imperfect vessel strategically placed in this world to become a perfect reflection of Christ!

Psalms 40:12-17 For troubles without number surround me; my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see. They are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart fails within me. Be pleased to save me, Lord; come quickly, Lord, to help me. May all who want to take my life be put to shame and confusion; may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace. May those who say to me, “Aha! Aha!” be appalled at their own shame. But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The Lord is great!”

Satan throws lies at you to rob you of your life—joy, hope, peace, comfort, love, beauty, direction, and more—but the Lord is great indeed! He stretches out His mighty hand to hold you, beckoning you away from the deceit, offering so much more through His love, grace, and mercy. Open your heart, and let God fill with the truth. Open your eyes, and see that through every moment Satan attempts to tear you down, there is opportunity for growth that brings you that much closer to the perfection of Christ. Open your ears, and let the still, small voice of the Lord provide direction, wisdom, and discernment amidst the chaos that Satan throws at you. Open your mind, and allow God to transform your worldly, fleshly way of thinking into powerful thoughts of freedom and eternity.

1 Peter 5:8-11 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Be vigilant. Pray. Seek. Devour the living Word of God. Transform your heart and mind into the image of Christ!

God bless and keep you in all your ways and may you hear the truth of God instead of the lies of Satan!
