On the heels of my last post, I found a poem I wrote on love quite some time ago…in 2004 as a matter of fact 🙂 Funny how God brings things to the forefront to tie in all the strings of life to make a complete rope that is solid and strong.
Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul,
and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'” ~ Matthew 22:37-39
Love
The sun is shining illuminating the world
Rays that reach beyond our comprehension
Warming us externally soothing us with in
There is more to life than simply basking in its warmth
Love and grace, true spiritual living
Unseen by the human eye, but noticed by God above
Every gentle touch that soothes a broken heart
Each delicate tear shed in times of sorrow
Compassion for others who are not like us
Love for those we abhor
Kind words that comfort the suffering soul
An attentive ear for those in despair
God has given and blessed each day
He has beckoned us to love one another
And love we shall
