and they will call him Immanuel, which means, God with us.

Celebrating love

Jesus born in a manger

Salvation for all

Christmas Is….

For unto us a Child is born,
unto us a Son is given;
and the government will be upon His shoulders.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
~ Isaiah 9:6 ~

Christmas is….

The meaning of Christmas is not in a store
Nor can it be found in the mall
Christmas isn’t found in a card or a letter
It’s not in the packaging, ribbons and all

The snow that might fall, no it doesn’t mean Christmas
Beautiful though it may be
Believe it or not, it is really quite simple
It’s actually very basic, you see

Despite what you may think
Holy though it may be
Christmas isn’t found inside the church
It has to do with only a simple tree

Yes, the birth of Christ is where it began
God sent His son to show us the way
A gift of sacrifice He gave to us
Giving us hope instead of dismay

Jesus led by example
With His goodness and grace
Granting peace and contentment
Gifts of love from Him whom we embrace

He ultimately gave a most precious gift
His life on a simple tree
He bled and died, and gave His all
So that we could be set free

So, remember this year as you shop for your gifts
The meaning of Christmas is clear
God loved us so much He sent His son
Bringing us peace, goodwill, and cheer

This love that He gave resides deep within
It lives in our hearts all year
He wants us to know the best part of Christmas
Is sharing our love with those we hold dear

Inspiring and Beautiful!

Music is indeed the melody of my heart. It brings me hope, inspires, fills me with joy, and even convicts me at times. In the realm of contemporary Christian music, I enjoy listening and being absorbed by the lyrics which can bring me ever closer to the foot of the cross.

However, it is rare for me to find an artist that rips the heart, tears the boundaries of the soul, and exposes the sin that exists in this mortal, weakened flesh. I stumbled across Johnathan Thulin today, downloading one of his songs, Architecture, to my “Songs that Inspire” page, but I did not stop there. I watched several more of his videos, which are not only music videos, but a story or journey if you will. As I watched and let the lyrics fall upon my ears, I felt an emotional intensity that I have not felt in a while, thus I share them with you.

Deep thoughts to ponder! May you be blessed…all my love ❤
