The Important Things In Life

I have seen this before, but it is always a great reminder of prioritizing and focusing on the important “things” in life, which in reality are not things at all! God bless and may you enjoy each day with the ones you love and care about! ❤

half fullA philosophy professor stood before his class with some items on the table in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks, about 2 inches in diameter.

He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up the remaining open areas of the jar.

He then asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous…

Confusion

Satan is always on the prowl, seeking to bring confusion and chaos into your life.  He wants nothing more than to cause division and destruction in the lives of God’s people.  And furthermore, he wants to separate you from the one source who can calm the turmoil in your life and set you on the correct path….God!  When you stop to listen to the whispering voice of God, you may find yourself amazed at what He can do!

Just this morning, I was reading the daily devotional on biblos.com and it was very clear that God is always with us, always guiding us with His loving hands. He is the lamp unto our path, the one who will instruct us in which way to go, even amidst the chaos and confusion that Satan tosses at us.  He will counsel us through His Word, inspire us with encouragement and wisdom from others He places in our lives.  He will direct our every step, if we let Him!

Psalm 25:12 Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose.

Matthew 6:22 “The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.

Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

Isaiah 30:21 Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.

Psalm 32:8-11 I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you. • Do not be as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding, Whose trappings include bit and bridle to hold them in check, Otherwise they will not come near to you. • Many are the sorrows of the wicked, But he who trusts in the LORD, lovingkindness shall surround him. • Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous ones; And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.

Jeremiah 10:23 I know, O LORD, that a man’s way is not in himself, Nor is it in a man who walks to direct his steps.

Will you take the time to listen?  Will you surrender your ways and let God guide you, instruct you, light the way for your life?   I assure you it is not easy, and sometimes there is great pain and heartache involved, but God is true and faithful to bring mercy, grace, forgiveness, peace, comfort and joy.  It is an everyday battle to surrender your will and desires to Him, but the ultimate blessing is that your life will  be richer, clearer, and better because of it.  So seek Him today, read with Him, meditate on His words and let Him lead you out of  the confusion and chaos!

All my love!

One Love

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear,
because fear involves punishment,
and the one who fears is not perfected in love.
We love, because He first loved us. 1 John 4:18-19

Life!

May God bless and keep you through the trials! Many thanks for the prayers that have helped me through a difficult couple of weeks.  I am truly blessed and wish a barrage of blessings for you all as well. All my love ❤

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your mind in Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians 4:6-7

Life!

Life is crazy
Filled with ups and downs
With its share of tornadoes and whirlwinds

When times are good
Joy and peace come easily
With hope and desire that it never ends

But when times are bad
How quickly blessings are forgotten
With downcast thoughts around every bend

No matter the tide
Whatever you face, good or bad
God’s grace, mercy, and unceasing love He sends

Renewing your mind
Healing the brokenness
Refreshing the heart and soul within

Whether rain or sun
God shines down on you
Providing peace and comfort that transcends

Prayer :-)

Ever feel like your life is running away without you??  I am indeed there!!  I don’t typically vent on my blog, but I feel led to have my cup filled, and what better way than to ask my friends and followers to pray.  The Lord has blessed me with this blog–with the opportunity to share love, inspire with his word, lead with gentleness, and bring poetic words into vivid imagery that reflects God’s grace, mercy, forgiveness and never-ending love.  I will admit though, I am feeling pretty empty this week…challenges abound, work is overwhelming, I am battling with migraines, and life is simply life.

So if you wouldn’t mind, toss a prayer or two my way!  I could use them all right now for when it rains, it pours!  I wait for the joy of morning!

For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning. ~ Psalm 30:5

God bless and keep you, and may he fill us all to overflowing, even amidst the circumstances.  All my love!
