Limitless (Colton Dixon)

And looking at them Jesus said to them,
“With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
~ Matthew 19:26

“It has often thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him.
But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!” And Jesus said to him,
“‘If You can?’ All things are possible to him who believes.”
~ Mark 9:22-23

Christmas Haiku 2015 Countdown 20

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.
~ Luke 19:20

God’s promise in Christ
A manger with a mission
Peace for all mankind

Surrender ~ Touch the Sky: Hillsong

Surrender!

In the darkest hour
God’s light shines like a beacon on the shore of life
In moments of despair
God’s peace surrounds like warm calming waves bringing hope
In the times when all seems lost
God’s plan is revealed providing direction and clarity
In the moments when life is falling apart
God’s promises stand true, bringing hope and peace beyond understanding

Rest in His love
Hope in His power
Soar in His strength
Delight in His grace
Trust in His mercy
Believe in His promises

Surrender all you were
Knowing your past does not define who you are or will be
Surrender all you are
Knowing that you will soar only if you fall to your knees before God
Surrender all you have
Knowing that you will never be in need if you seek God first
Surrender all you will be
Knowing that your future is God’s loving, protective, and healing hands

Seek what is true
Hunger for what is noble
Desire what is right
Yearn for what is pure
Pursue what is lovely
Thirst for what is admirable

The Lord Almighty

David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the LORD will hand you over to me, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD’s and he will give all of you into our hands.” ~ 1 Samuel 17:45-47

We all have giants we have to face, whether we want to or not! Perhaps your giant is a person that mistreats you or an addiction that consumes you. Maybe your giant is pride or selfishness. Whatever your giant, it is never bigger than the LORD! He has already overcome, and the good news is……he always wins and will win in the end! You are victorious through the power and might of the Lord God!

Never forget who you are through the blood of Christ! An heir in the victory! A child protected and provided for by the Almighty!

May your giants be struck down in the name of Jesus!

Christmas Day at Last!

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.
~ Psalm 150:6 ~

Praise Him Evermore

Prince of Peace
Wonderful Counselor
Lord of lords
Come as a little Babe
Humble and in the flesh
God’s answer to a lost world
Praise and glory be to Him
For all He has done
Glory and honor to the King of kings
Blessed are we to have such a gift
You our Savior and Lord

Sails of My Soul

That we should no longer be like infants,
Tossed to and fro and carried about on every wind of doctrine,
By the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
But speaking truth in love may grow up into him who is the head, Christ.
~ Ephesians 4:14-15 ~

Sunset

Sails of My Soul

Lead me over uncharted waters
Steady my course as I go
Let loose the ropes of burden
Prepare the masts of my heart
Lower the boom of inspiration
Hoist the sails of my soul
Focus my mind on the horizon
Carry me on the wings of the wind
Lead me not into the abyss
Guide me on gentle waters
Prepare me for the storms
Shelter me from the crashing waves
Let me not go adrift
Nor lose my bearings at sea
Be my lighthouse in the darkness
Be my compass when I wander
Keep me anchored to you O Lord

Lord, You are so Good to Me!

But as for me, it is good to be near God.
I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge;
I will tell of all Your good deeds.
~ Psalm 73:28

Lord, You are so Good to Me!

Lord God You are so good to me
Blessing me beyond compare
Each day You give me all I need
Never giving more than I can bear

I trust You to heal me completely
Making me healthy and new
Hearing my prayers and pleas
I humbly bring them before You

Lord You bring me comfort
Filling me with peace and love
Providing understanding and support
Blessing me with angels from heaven above

For Your continuing healing upon me
I thank You so very much
My praise to You will forever be
Thank You for Your loving touch

To You my very life I owe
Each and every day I give to You
For on my own I cannot grow
So thank You Lord for all You do

Today

Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect,
but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.
Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet;
but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,
I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
~ Philippians 3:12-14

The beautiful thing about walking with God is knowing he does not judge the past. He doesn’t stress about where you have been, what you have done, or the skeletons you hide in the closet. He cares about where you are going and what your future holds. God desires to make each and every one of us new, drawing us into his presence, making us righteous and holy. When we accept the sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ and repent of our sins, God forgives us for what we have done and buries our sin in the depths of the sea, never to be remembered again. YOU are made new!!

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:
The old has gone, the new is here! ~ 2 Corinthians 5:17

He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His loving-kindness toward those who fear Him.
As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. ~ Psalm 103:10-12

Who is a God like You,
who pardons iniquity and passes over the rebellious act of the remnant of His possession?

He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in unchanging love.
He will again have compassion on us; He will tread our iniquities under foot.
Yes, You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. ~ Micah 7:18-19

As you journey through this world, take some time to seek the Lord and know that though there may be things in your past that you have to deal with or get help to overcome, God washes them away from his thoughts. You are free in Christ and made new! Trust in the promise and revel in the joy only he can bring to your life.

Jonathan Thulin has a beautiful song and the lyrics remind us that it is today that counts, not what was done in the past.

Simple, yet True…God is with YOU!

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5

God is glorious, victorious in all.   He provides grace sufficient to cover the worst of sins (2 Corinthians 12:9).  He constantly shelters those who trust and seek him (Isaiah 25:4, Psalm 91:4, Psalm 28:7).   He builds the nations up and burns them down according to his good and righteous plan (Ezekiel 36:36, Proverbs 15:25, Acts 17:26).   He is the be all, end all (Revelation 1:8, Revelation 22:13).   He is Creator of the universe (Genesis 1:1), the maker of every human who walks the earth (Genesis 2:7, Isaiah 45:12).   He knows you by name, every hair on your head, and the number of days set for you (Isaiah 43:1-7)!   He knows your thoughts before you do (Psalm 139:2, Proverbs 15:3)!   He thinks of you more than the grains of sand that exist on earth (Psalm 139:17-18)!   You are the apple of His eye (Psalm 17:8, Zechariah 2:8)!   How special and dear you are to him, so much so that he rejoices over you (Isaiah 62:5, Zephaniah 3:17)!

A thought to always hold tight to–you were created on purpose for a purpose (Ephesians 2:10).   There are no coincidences in this world, only orchestrated events that lead each and every heart through God’s good and glorious plan!

Have faith, hold tight to peace knowing God has you always and will never let you go..for you are His and He is yours.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

God bless and keep you always and may your trust in the Lord draw you closer to His presence and glory! All my love ❤

Freedom is Here!

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon me, for the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. The will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor. Isaiah 61:1-3

Freedom is Here!

Waiting for peace to come can seem like death
Longing for the heart to be still
Hoping that life will just rest
Ah to be free from the burdens and cares

Hold on tight
Never let go
For freedom will come
And all will be right

Emptiness resides where love should be
Robbing the soul of joy
Stealing life away each day
Ah to be free to love and laugh again

Hold on tight
Never let go
For freedom will come
And all will be alright

Surrender all
Trust in the One who died for you
The One who came to set you free

He is yours
And you are His
Let the love of Christ’s sacrifice save you

Hold on tight
Never let go
For freedom is here
And all will be alright

For freedom is here
And all will be alright
