Christmas Haiku 2015 Countdown 2

So they hurrying off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger.
When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child,
and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.
But Mary treasured up all these things in her heart.
The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen,
which were just as they had been told.
~ Luke 2:16-20

yolo

YOLO! Yep, that’s right You Only Live ONCE!!  What are you doing with the life that God has so richly blessed you with? Are you looking at all the bad in life and letting it bring you down, or are you choosing to see the rainbow midst the storms? Do you let the world drown you with its waves of chaos and despair, or do you call upon the One True God that can cause you to walk on the water? Do you sit on the throne of selfishness and greed, or do you humble yourself in the joy of giving and loving?

Life indeed throws us turbulence and turmoil frequently, and we often have exceedingly difficult choices to make, but we as Christians know that there is more than the insanity this world offers us, and we assuredly know that all the choices we make have lingering consequences both here and now that echo into the eternity to come! When the Lord leads your life, there is hope, there is freedom, there is mercy, there is light, and there is overwhelming love!

Yes, there will be sad times, times of anger and pain, and times where the mind is downcast, but Psalm 126:5 states, “Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.” God is true, just, and holy, and all that he allows to occur while we walk the face of this fragile world are to mold and shape us into the righteousness of Christ! He fulfills his promises of joy, peace and comfort daily….all you need do is trust and lean on him!

My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments;
For length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.
Do not let kindness and truth leave you; bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and man.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.
~ Proverbs 3:1-8 ~

No matter what you face, no matter how big the storm, no matter how hindering the mountain…God has you! He is in control and he will bring joy each and every day!  Choose to praise despite the chaos.  Choose to see the beauty and blessings of life instead of dwelling on the disparity and ugliness.  What you choose will bring you life or it will destroy your life!

Sing praise to the LORD, you His godly ones,
And give thanks to His holy name.
For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for a lifetime;
Weeping may last for the night,
But a shout of joy comes in the morning.
Now as for me, I said in my prosperity,
“I will never be moved.”
O LORD, by Your favor You have made my mountain to stand strong;
You hid Your face, I was dismayed.
To You, O LORD, I called,
And to the Lord I made supplication:
“What profit is there in my blood, if I go down to the pit?
Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your faithfulness?
“Hear, O LORD, and be gracious to me;
O LORD, be my helper.”
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
You have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness,
That my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
~ Psalm 30:4-12 ~

Be the light of God’s love and the beacon of eternal hope to a desperate and hurting people! Choose to LIVE and live FULLY. Choose to LOVE and love DEEPLY. Choose to HOPE and hope ENDLESSLY. Choose to REJOICE and rejoice with SINGING. Choose to SERVE and serve HUMBLY.

May God grant you joy every morning and hope each day! May he bring you peace beyond measure and shower you with love overflowing! May your heart and mind always be set in eternity and not the here and now, and may you find the strength and courage of Christ to help you through the trials and persecution.

All my love!

Christmas Day at Last!

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.
~ Psalm 150:6 ~

Praise Him Evermore

Prince of Peace
Wonderful Counselor
Lord of lords
Come as a little Babe
Humble and in the flesh
God’s answer to a lost world
Praise and glory be to Him
For all He has done
Glory and honor to the King of kings
Blessed are we to have such a gift
You our Savior and Lord

Jesus is the Reason!

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
~ Isaiah 9:6

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold,
I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;
for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
~ Luke 2:11

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
~ John 3:16

Jesus is the Reason

Christmas day is here at last

With presents and decorations galore

The tree stands aglow

Twinkling like the stars in the night sky

A reminder of the that one blessed eve

Over 2,000 years ago

The angels appeared to the shepherds below

Telling the birth of Immanuel

He is the ultimate gift and Savior to the lost world

Born in Bethlehem, a lowly babe

Sent from Heaven above

God gave us His only Son to live and die

A sacrifice for all mankind

Though presents are lovely

And stockings filled with goodies bring a smile

Remember that fateful night long ago

He is the reason we celebrate

The magi came from afar to worship and adore

They brought Him gifts of frankincense, gold and myrrh

The gifts we give to one another are thoughtful indeed

But the best gift we can give

Is the message of eternal life and love

Give the true gift of Christmas this year

Give the message of God’s mercy and grace

The promise of forgiveness of sins

A hope for an eternal life spent with Him

 God bless and keep you and your family always, and may you have the courage to share the love and sacrifice of Christ on this blessed Christmas day!

Simple, yet True…God is with YOU!

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5

God is glorious, victorious in all.   He provides grace sufficient to cover the worst of sins (2 Corinthians 12:9).  He constantly shelters those who trust and seek him (Isaiah 25:4, Psalm 91:4, Psalm 28:7).   He builds the nations up and burns them down according to his good and righteous plan (Ezekiel 36:36, Proverbs 15:25, Acts 17:26).   He is the be all, end all (Revelation 1:8, Revelation 22:13).   He is Creator of the universe (Genesis 1:1), the maker of every human who walks the earth (Genesis 2:7, Isaiah 45:12).   He knows you by name, every hair on your head, and the number of days set for you (Isaiah 43:1-7)!   He knows your thoughts before you do (Psalm 139:2, Proverbs 15:3)!   He thinks of you more than the grains of sand that exist on earth (Psalm 139:17-18)!   You are the apple of His eye (Psalm 17:8, Zechariah 2:8)!   How special and dear you are to him, so much so that he rejoices over you (Isaiah 62:5, Zephaniah 3:17)!

A thought to always hold tight to–you were created on purpose for a purpose (Ephesians 2:10).   There are no coincidences in this world, only orchestrated events that lead each and every heart through God’s good and glorious plan!

Have faith, hold tight to peace knowing God has you always and will never let you go..for you are His and He is yours.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

God bless and keep you always and may your trust in the Lord draw you closer to His presence and glory! All my love ❤

True Beauty

In the world of illusion, where advertisements are photo shopped, spray tans are in, and Botox and facials bring hope of eternal youth….it is important to remember that true beauty does not come in a bottle, from a store, or the latest fashion magazine! True beauty comes when you shine from within. What the heart holds dear, what the mind focuses on, what is displayed through your words and actions….that is where true beauty comes from.

So quit trying to be perfect!!!  Quit trying to live up to a standard that not even top models can live up to (hence the reason they are photo shopped!). Quit listening to the world’s view of beauty, for it is shallow, meaningless, and empty.

Instead, rest on the fact that God created YOU, designed your every feature (even the ones that drive you nuts!!), and he made YOU in His image….a reflection of His love, hope, passion, and joy.  YOU are an original work of living, breathing art–a MASTERPIECE indeed!

Be YOU….for YOU are BEAUTIFUL!!

All my love and may you see who you truly are through God’s eyes, instead of your own!

For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to You,
for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
~ Psalm 139:13-14 ~

Worship and Praise

Let them praise His name with the dance
Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp
For the Lord takes pleasure in His people
He will beautify the humble with salvation.
~ Psalm 149:3-4 ~

Worship and Praise

Why don’t you get it? How come you can’t see?
I sing to the Lord to show His love for me

You may think me weird; tell me I should sit down
Place my hands by my side and quit fooling around

What you don’t understand is I must praise and sing
For I am in God’s presence and that is all I can bring

He calls me to sing; to dance in the street
He smiles upon me when my worship is complete

He hears my songs of worship; they have meaning and heart
He understands my praise though indeed you may not

So before you judge me or tell me I need to sit down
Take a good look at your worship; what have you found?

Is your heart in your praise? Or is your worship mundane?
Is praise just another component of your Sunday routine?

Do you worship God earnestly? Do you let your love for God show?
Do you give all you have for the blessings He bestows?

Surrender your worship; it is a living sacrifice
Don’t worry what others think for your heart pays the price

Submit to the Lord; let Him lead your way
Let the Spirit consume you as you worship and praise

Naked and Unashamed

God is the God of provision. He gives to all things, great and small, exactly what they need when they need it. You may not have all that you want, but God will supply all you need when you depend on Him. Even the trees of the earth and birds of the air are taken care of, yet you, you were created in His image and are more valuable than any other living creature. He WILL provide when you place your trust in HIM.

“For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? “Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? “And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? “And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. “But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! “Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ “For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. ~ Matthew 33:25-34

Naked and Unashamed

Magnificent displays of endurance
Though the winds blow
And the lightning strike
Mighty and strong they stand

Their leaves may fall
Still they stretch their branches to the Lord
Naked and unashamed
Praising Him night and day

Even when clothed in robes of green
Their leaves turn toward the face of the Lord
Shouting God’s glory to the heavens and the earth
Revealing His eternal love

Their roots lie hidden from His view
Yet still the Lord feeds and nurtures them
Touching them deep within
Constantly helping them grow
