In this life there are many trials, tribulations, and hardships. Without God at the helm, we find ourselves at a loss for hope and peace that fills us and gives us something to live for. This blog is a place for me to share the hope God gives me despite the circumstances I face and to extend that hope and love to others. May it be an inspiration and blessing to your heart!
If the LORD had not been my help, My soul would soon have dwelt in the abode of silence. If I should say, “My foot has slipped,” Your lovingkindness, O LORD, will hold me up. When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your consolations delight my soul. ~ Psalm 94:17-19 ~
Come to me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy And my burden is light. ~ Matthew 11:28-30
Come as You Are!
Broken
Hurting
Ashamed
Come as you are
Confused
Angry
Lost
Come as you are
Bitter
Wandering
Sorrowful
Come as you are
Healing found
Hope renewed
Joy restored
Come as you are
Freedom from bonds
Light to lead the way
Mercy free flowing
Come as you are
Sit in the arms of the Lord
Find rest under the shadow of His wings
Be filled to overflowing
Just come as you are
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ,
set your hearts on things above,
where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
Set your minds on things above,
not on earthly things.
~ Colossians 3:1-3 ~
There are times when the battles of life wear you down, challenging you beyond your strength and capacity. You may feel like you are in the depths of despair or that the world and those in it have let you down. You may find yourself confused by the circumstances in your life, uncertain of what to do next. Perhaps you feel like everyone is against you, that you are a failure, or that you have pressure coming down on you from every angle of life. Whatever your situation, know this — The Lord has you!! He protects all who call upon his name, provides refuge and shelter for those who love and seek him, and gives strength to the weak and hope to the hopeless. He is the beginning and the end, knows your comings and your goings, and loves you unconditionally in spite of your faults and sins. He is hope. He is truth. He is freedom. He is forgiveness. He is grace. He is mercy. He is all you need. Lean on Him and he will be your protector.
God bless and keep you always! ❤
We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but now destroyed. ~ 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

Protector of the Weak
A glistening ray of hope
Knight in shining armor
Protector of the weak
Your sword is Your Word
Sharper than any weapon
Swift and precise it cuts
The wind it carries You
To the place of pain
There You cut and destroy
Protector of the weak
Darkness cannot run
There is nowhere it can hide
Though earthly shelter eludes
Your shadow it covers
A blanket soft and secure
The warmth invades the soul
Protector of the weak
Scars from battles lost will fade
Healing with the passage of time
The war is never-ending
Destruction awaits at every bend
The enemy always poised to strike
You press on, confident in Your conquest
Protector of the weak
Climbing the tower of Darkness
With shield and sword You defend
Defender of all that was lost
One blow of Your might and darkness cowers
It claims only momentary loss
Waiting for its next move
Protector of the weak
Your cadence is one step ahead
Prepared for all that is to come
Protector of the weak
I am always so energized by the coming of a New Year!! It has always given me hope that there is chance for renewal and rebirth, much like spring. Christmas reminds me of the importance of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for me, bringing me into a living relationship with God himself, and then comes the New Year, which enables me the chance to renew and rededicate my heart, mind, and soul to God.
There was once a time when I looked at God as being “up there”, so “far away”, and so “omnipotent” that I could not ever be in a relationship with him. Having walked through the valley of abuse, spent time in the throes of divorce, and experienced such sinful and impure thoughts, I thought I could never communicate with God, never be “good” enough, never be clean enough to approach him or to connect with him.
However, much to my surprise and delight, I have learned that no one is perfect, no one is ever “good enough”, and no one is ever pure enough to connect with God. God is perfect, sinless, righteous, and well, God! As I mentioned in my Choose! post, scripture states that we have all fallen short of the glory of God, that we have all sinned, and that we are all evil and sinful creatures of the flesh. Depressing, yes! But scripture does not stop there!! There is hope! In John 3:16-17, God sent His one and only Son, to be a sacrificial lamb for all mankind, so that we could be washed in the cleansing blood of Christ, and have everlasting life, if we so choose to accept the perfect Lamb of God, Jesus Christ.
With the choice of everlasting life, the choice of believing in Christ, his life, his crucifixion, and his resurrection, comes a set of beliefs established in faith and love. These are indeed the fundamentals of Christian living. God wants nothing but the best for His children (Jeremiah 29:11), but we must accept him and live in obedience and grace.
The Newsboys put out a wonderful song based on these fundamental beliefs. I hope that you listen and take the opportunity to accept Christ into your life, thus finding hope for a future, and joy in the promise of eternal salvation. May you walk with the living God, enjoying his peace, comfort, strength, endurance, wisdom, discernment, and never-ending love!!! All my love for a promising New Year with God in the driver’s seat! ❤
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. ~ 2 Timothy 3:16-17
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. “For God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. ~ John 3:16-17

I am so honored and humbled that the amazing, all-powerful God of the universe loves me enough to sacrifice his one and only Son so that my sins could be washed away, and I can have everlasting life in the Kingdom of Heaven. What is truly amazing is that God made this possible and accessible to everyone, not just me, not just you, but to everyone! Every human being is sinful and falls short of the perfection required to enter the gates of heaven.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God ~ Romans 3:23
as it is written: “There is no one righteous, no not one..” ~ Romans 3:10
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. ~ John 1:8
But God being filled with love, grace, and mercy desires that no one perish.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world,
but that the world might be saved through Him.” ~ John 3:16
“He who believes in the Son has eternal life;
but he who does not obey the Son will not see life,
but the wrath of God abides on him.”~ John 3:36
“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise,
as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” ~ 2 Peter 3:9.
He has given everyone the chance to shed the old sinful self, and take on a new, righteousness through Christ’s sacrifice
Do not conform to the pattern of this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–
his good, pleasing and perfect will. ~ Romans 12:2
When we accept Christ as our Savior, acknowledging and believing that he is the Son of God come to the world, was crucified on the cross for our sins, buried, and rose again, we have God’s promise of eternal life. We have the hope of something beyond this broken world. We have faith that we can have a relationship with God that will bring us peace, joy, hope, grace, mercy, forgiveness, and oh so much more!
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile— the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. ~ Romans 10:9-13
I was watching some videos on YouTube and enjoyed this one by Kirk Cameron. He speaks about sin, grace, truth, and the message of salvation. May it enlighten you to the salvation message, and bless you as it did me. God bless and keep you always in his truth and love ❤
I cry every time as this is simply too beautiful and touching for words! God bless and may you know God is always there with you, covering and sheltering you! All my love ❤
The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. ~ Psalm 18:2
But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. ~ Thessalonians 3:4
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. ~ 1 Corinthians 13:1-8a & 13
Have you ever encountered a time in your life, be it a day, a week, a month, or years, where it just seemed that there was no hope? Ever feel like the emotions of your circumstances would swallow you whole, leaving only an empty carcass of pain and defeat? I have been there with you my friend! I have encountered the gates of hell first hand, and am here to say that the darkness will not destroy you, nor will it consume you! I am living proof that there is hope! There is light amidst even the darkest times of your life. There is love even when you don’t love yourself and you feel as though love is nonexistent. I am here to tell you that there is release from the darkness and pain, and it is found in The Lord!
God will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6-8)! He is your light in a world of darkness (John 8:12, 12:46). He is your hope in those desperate times where everything seems to confuse and overwhelm (Romans 15:13, psalm 42:8). He is your strength when you just can’t go any more; when you just feel like you would be better off dead. God is there to lift you from the mire of your own sin (Psalm 40:2). He is there to pull you out of the pit of shame, guilt, and ambivalence.

All you need do is cry out (Psalm 34:17, Isaiah 19:20)! Release your tears, your heartache, your pain. Surrender them to God and know that he collects them all, seeks revenge for wrongs done to you, forgives you for your own sins, and brings the hope and promise of a future filled with peace, comfort, hope, and salvation!
May you know you are not alone in your journey! All my love ❤
“Why are you like a man dismayed,
like a mighty man who cannot save?
Yet you are in our midst, O LORD,
and we are called by your name; do not forsake us!”
~ Jeremiah 14:9

Merely Existent
Moving in slow motion
Life is taking its grueling toll
Leaving me feeling empty
Devoid of true happiness and peace
What do I face each day for
Only to be struck down
Beyond the anger, past the hurt
The emotions continually stupefy me
Why am I so lost
Confused as to who I am
What I want in life
What I expect from God
Each day seems so different
The expectations so unique
My existence like vapor
The hunger for something more haunts me
Longing to live passionately
Fearing to face reality
The thoughts anger me
Cause conflict deep in my soul
Resentment pulsing through my veins
Shattering the life I clung to
Sadness fills my heart
Casting its shadow on my joy
Self condemnation destroys my hope
Beckoning me towards the pit of hell
The emotional lion devours my very breath
Leaving only tortured remains
