In this life there are many trials, tribulations, and hardships. Without God at the helm, we find ourselves at a loss for hope and peace that fills us and gives us something to live for. This blog is a place for me to share the hope God gives me despite the circumstances I face and to extend that hope and love to others. May it be an inspiration and blessing to your heart!

Glory Abounds
Life has ups and downs
Yet the glory of God abounds
No matter the storms that rage
Peace can be found in any stage

New Year equals new opportunities, new outlook, and new chances! I love the beginning of a new year as it provides a chance to start over with a clean slate and positive outlook!! Just as each day provides a clean slate, so too does each new year. This year…expect the best, prepare for the worst, love boldly, laugh out loud, cry deeply, hope eternally, and live fully!! You never know when your life or the life of a loved one will be taken for none of us are ever promised tomorrow! Each breath is a gift! Don’t waste this year spending your life in anger, envy, strife, conflict, blame, guilt, shame, anxiety, or bitterness for they take away the joy and beauty of each day and take a physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional toll on the quality of your life.
1. If you are angry, pray for peace and surrender to the Lord your anger.
2. If you are envious, try being thankful for what you DO have, for many others have much less than you.
3. If you are in strife or conflict with someone, apologize and make things right….even if you aren’t the one
who made things wrong (after all God forgives and makes things right with you everyday, even when
He was not the one who sinned or made things wrong!–just saying’).
4. If you are spending time blaming others for where you are and who you have become, decide to take responsibility for yourself and the direction of your life for only you have the power to change it!!
5. If you are stuck in a life filled with guilt and shame, pray, seek counsel, change your ways, and surrender it to God– it was Christ’s sacrifice that has covered ALL your guilt and shame with love, mercy, and grace at the cross!
6. If you are filled with anxiety about whatever you are facing, be it finances, family struggles,
employment, death, health, or anything else out of your control….rest in the arms of God.
Cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you (more than you may ever know!!).
7. If you hold bitterness towards someone who has wronged you…let it go!!
It doesn’t hurt the other person, but it destroys you from the inside out!
Forgive and find strength in God to show mercy and grace, just as he has so freely given it to you.
Strive to make this year a GOD centered year, instead of a ME centered year and look forward to all that you will be blessed with! When your focus is love and peace, the world is so much better off….and so are YOU!

I know not what others turn to when dealing with life’s journeys–be it celebrations or sorrows, happiness or trials. As for me, music is a large part of my life’s journey. Everyone has demons that haunt, past issues that Satan likes to use to destroy and draw us away from God, temptations that bring out our weaknesses, but praise be to the LORD that no matter the beckoning of Satan, no matter the lies you believe about you and your past, no matter how hard Satan attacks and seeks to devour you…….GOD holds you tightly, covering, protecting, sheltering and pulling you away from the clutches of Satan’s deception. Only God can set you free!! Only the truth can set you free!! There is truth in God’s word for He is loving, faithful, merciful and full of grace, forgiveness, and hope. God is for you always, no matter what, at all times good or bad. Hold tight, seek Him, and fall into his open arms when life throws you down and when Satan chases.

The more I seek, the more I find! The farther I fall, the deeper I dive into you O Lord! The harder life hits, the more I seek you! Be my vision, be my guide, be my all in this world dear Lord. May I thirst for you, hunger for you, strive to be like you. Though I may fall short, though I may sin, though I am weak and restless….may my heart and soul always long for you. May your passion well up and shine brighter than the noon day sun. I will praise you O Lord in all things, especially amidst the pain and turmoil of this life!
There are so many times amidst my journey through this life that I struggle with right and wrong. I know the right thing to do, I know the Godly choices to make, I know the pure path I must walk, but that does not mean I don’t stumble and fall into sin and temptation. I strive to be the righteous woman God so deserves me to be, and created me to be, but there are times when the fleshly desires consume, and the battle is momentarily lost. However, I praise God even when I fall! For His love is never-ending. His grace and mercy are new every morning. His forgiveness is deeper than I can comprehend. Even when I knowingly stagger into the sins of the flesh, I am ever so thankful that He rescues me, reminds me I am chosen and loved, sets my feet on the path of righteousness, and fills my heart with a renewed hope and strength. It is my ongoing prayer that God will continue to reveal my weaknesses to me that I may become strong through Him!
Search me, O God, and know my heart;

Oh, Lord I thank you for every breath that You give me. Each one is a reminder that I am loved, created for a purpose, and have much more to do before my time in this foreign land is done. I pray that you will search my heart, see the evil within, and purge me Lord of those things unpleasing to you. I want to walk a holy and righteous life that reflects only YOU, but if I am real and honest, I must admit it is a daily struggle. Give me your strength oh Lord and help me to be the woman you designed me to be. Be my shield against the temptations Satan brings my way, and help me to stand strong in your word and your ways. When I stumble or fall Lord, convict my heart, heal my wounded soul, and bring me back to the path you designed just for me. I thank you that you never leave me, never forsake me, and always love me. I praise you for your never-ending forgiveness and merciful grace. Be with me Lord in all I do, giving me courage and discernment always. With my heart I surrender all!
