Searching for meaning? Seeking more for your life? Have the nagging feeling that there is more to your existence than the day-to-day routine? Guess what? You are right! You are called to so much more than what this world has in store for you. Did you know you were designed by God Himself for a purpose? You were created to fulfill a mission that is of the utmost importance! Yes, you!! You are called to share the word of God, to bring His truth into deceived hearts, to bring hope to those who have lost theirs, to be a light that shines midst the darkness. You were created on purpose for a purpose. As scripture says in Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” God designed you to desire more than the mundane routine of this world! Stand in His strength and live your life to the fullest! Glorify God’s kingdom and bring eternal joy to your heart.

All my love! ❤

He said to them,
“Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved,
but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”
Mark 16:15-16

Why am I here?
What is my purpose?
There is an answer
I do propose

You were created on purpose
To fulfill your destiny
Designed to share God’s love
Even in the midst of scrutiny

You were created for such a time as this
To declare the mystery that is of God
Revealing His truth
Breaking through the world’s facade

You have been called to something higher
A mission from God, the Creator Himself
You were created to shine His light
Not to live for yourself

You are needed to bring salvation to the lost
To shine light were darkness resides
You can be an instrument God uses
Bringing  hope to desperate, longing lives

Why are you here?
To reveal God to the lost and dying hearts that be
What is your purpose?
To stand in faith that shines for the entire world to see

Listen to your heart
Heed that still small voice
Know that you were made for so much more
Will you stand on your own or abide in His choice?

19 Days of Christmas

Let the heavens be glad
And let the earth rejoice,
And let them say among the nations,
“The LORD reigns.”
~ 1 Chronicles 16:31 ~

Angels sing His praise
Oceans roar, the rocks cry out
To the King of Kings

If. A simple little two letter word with a powerful impact! If is an oft ignored word that is thought little of, until it is given in context:

If you clean your room you can go to the mall with your friends.
I will help you move this weekend, if you pack all the little things in the house first.
If you want this job, you have to commute two hours each day.
I know that if you try harder and study more, you will pass the class.

We truly are a society built on “if” when you stop to think about it. In its definition, “if” is a condition on which something depends, an uncertain possibility, or a supposition. The word “if” is used by most people at least a few times a day, and even more if you have children! It is also used in scripture quite frequently—-about 1500 times actually. God has placed a few “if-then” items in His word. They are typically associated with rules in Leviticus, Deuteronomy, and other old testament books. But it is also used fairly frequently in new testament as well…and once again, it is usually attached to a rule or direction of some sort.

I was reading a daily devotional the other day and came across this “if” scripture in 1 Peter 2:1-3.

Therefore, having put aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy, envies, and evil speaking,
like newborn babies, crave the pure spiritual milk, that by it you might grow up in salvation,
if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.

“If” you have tasted that the Lord is good. Hmmm. One cannot put away the old, the ugly, and the evil without tasting that the Lord is good, and desiring to do His will. We, as Christians, often expect everyone know or have some idea about the Lord’s goodness, but alas, that is not so. Many are lost in doubt and fear, stuck in a place of distrust, and have never tasted the goodness of God, never experienced his mercy and grace, never been embraced by his unending or unfailing love. They have never been show the light of God because no one has taken the time to do so!

Be the light.  Be the salt. Illuminate the hearts and minds of those around you with the loving word of God, and let them taste and see that the Lord is good. Be kind when you want to tell someone off. Forgive when all you want is revenge. Be gentle when what you desire is to fight. Use words of encouragement instead of gossip, vulgarity, and cursing. Help those in need. Share the beauty and goodness of God, so everyone can indeed taste the goodness of the Lord.

“If” you truly want to turn hearts to the Lord, then you must walk in His ways and be the blessing he has called you to be in the lives of those around you!  What “if” you lived your life for the Lord, what wonderful things he could do through you!?

God bless and keep you, and may your heart never doubt, your mind never fear, and your soul rest assured that the Lord is good indeed!

All my love ❤

Jesus….the ReAsoN for the SeaSoN

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
~ Isaiah 9:6

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold,
I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;
for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
~ Luke 2:11

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
~ John 3:16

Jesus is the Reason

Christmas day is here at last

With presents and decorations galore

The tree stands aglow

Twinkling like the stars in the night sky

A reminder of the that one blessed eve

Over 2,000 years ago

The angels appeared to the shepherds below

Telling the birth of Immanuel

He is the ultimate gift and Savior to the lost world

Born in Bethlehem, a lowly babe

Sent from Heaven above

God gave us His only Son to live and die

A sacrifice for all mankind

Though presents are lovely

And stockings filled with goodies bring a smile

Remember that fateful night long ago

He is the reason we celebrate

The magi came from afar to worship and adore

They brought Him gifts of frankincense, gold and myrrh

The gifts we give to one another are thoughtful indeed

But the best gift we can give

Is the message of eternal life and love

Give the true gift of Christmas this year

Give the message of God’s mercy and grace

The promise of forgiveness of sins

A hope for an eternal life spent with Him

God bless and keep you and your family always, and may you have the courage to share the love and sacrifice of Christ on this blessed Christmas day!

The little things I celebrate :-)

Perhaps it is my teacher’s mind, or perhaps it is the insanity of the last two weeks, or maybe, just maybe it is the expectation of Christmas break.  And YES, I call the two-week break we have at school Christmas break…..not winter break!!  I don’t mind being considered politically incorrect when it comes to celebrating the Reason for the season–Christ!

Anywho, as I was typing the Christmas Haiku for this evening I was going to label it #4, but then came to realize there are 8 more days until Christmas.  Well, 8 + 4 = 12, as in the 12 days of Christmas!!  I was overjoyed at the thought of being able to do 12 Haiku poems centered around Christ and the true message of Christmas that I went back and renumbered them…12, 11, 10, and alas tonight’s was #9!  Now I can do a Christmas countdown that focuses on the birth of Christ using the fun and simple poetic form of Haiku!

Ah, my two worlds collide…..teaching and poetry!  Gotta love it when God just strikes joy and happiness in the little things!  As my lovely friends would say, I am indeed easily entertained 🙂

God bless and may you smile each day you are alive, for you are truly a gift from God sent to help and encourage others!

Love to you all ❤
