Let it Go!! Trust!!

The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace,
Because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever,
For in GOD the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock.
~ Isaiah 26:3-4

conquer

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything
by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
~ Philippians 4:6-7

In times where your mind wanders and you feel your thoughts drifting to negativity or areas of darkness and fear, bring them captive to the Lord. Bring them into His presence, surrendering them, and letting God bring you back to His light and peace. Yes, this is a hard process, but the more frequently you do it, the easier it becomes. When you give it all to God, He promises to bring you peace and comfort, to lead you in the path everlasting. That doesn’t mean the pain will go away or the circumstances will change in an instant, but it does mean that God will be with you through them, reminding you that He is bigger than anything you may face, that He is stronger than the challenges, that He knows the direction you must go to achieve His perfection! Let go and let God! All my love, and as you go through your day, may you find your heart and mind focused on the glory and beauty of God!

God is Greater

For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord,
plans to prosper you not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11

grace

God is greater
Larger than the obstacles you face
He knows your past and your sins
Yet offers you limitless grace

Hold tight to His truths
For in His arms you can stand
Know He is with you
Guiding you with His mighty hand

He sees your pain and shame
His heart bleeds for you
Let it go and surrender
For His promises will see you through

May the obstacles you face be merely a speck in the scheme of life, and may you always know that God is with you through it all, with a promise to bring you good, to prosper you, to bless you abundantly more than you can ever imagine! May this new year bring peace and joy despite the storms that rage around or in you!

All my love ❤

Run the Race! ~ Lauren Daigle (Trust In You)

Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:28-31

As I continually embark on life’s journey, there are always hills and mountains that hinder me. There are valleys that bring me low and rivers so wide I feel I will drown if I even attempt to move! Each and every day brings challenges that are beyond my control and most assuredly, well beyond my strength! I know that scripture says that God does not give me more than I can handle, but truth is he does that all the time (1 Corinthians 10:13). However, he never gives me anything I can’t handle with HIM at my side.

There are mountains I can’t climb, but He carries me over them every time. There are rivers I will certainly drown in if I try to swim across, but He sends His boat to carry me across. There are valleys that bring me to a state of despair, but He continually encourages me, reminding me that He is on the other side waiting with open arms! There are temptations that my flesh desires greatly, but as always, He is there whispering words of love and grace, opening a door for my escape.

God is so good, and as I look back on my life and where the journey has taken me and brought me, I consistently see where God’s hand has steadied me and provided the rock on which I stand. He has guided me, strengthened me, encouraged me, and loved me through it all. He never promised life would be easy, but He promised to be with me through it all (Matthew 28:20, Deuteronomy 31:6-8).

“Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered,
each to his own home, and to leave Me alone;
and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace.
In the world you have tribulation, but take courage;
I have overcome the world.”
John 16:32-33

We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed;
perplexed, but not despairing;
persecuted, but not forsaken;
struck down, but not destroyed;
2 Corinthians 4:8-9

God is good, always has been, always will be! Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, and in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5, Isaiah 26:4, Psalm 62:8).

Waiting Once Again!

I am so ecstatic at the way God moves, but let me assure you it is not always easy. There are things in life we all desire. Perhaps a job, a spouse, children, to travel, and on and on the list may go for some. However, I find it so amazing how God moves. No matter my desire (or yours), he moves in his time, not mine, and always for my best (and yours!). Looking back on my life, I can say with confidence that every time God said no to my desires he brought something better than I could have imagined into my life. Every time he asked me to wait, he met my desire to the fullest. Job lost everything in his life that he held dear, but in his heart and soul, deep within his spirit, he knew God had a plan, and what a plan it was indeed. As he waited during the catastrophic struggle of his life, he held tight to his hope in God’s promises, and was blessed beyond measure, more than he could ever have imagined.

I want to encourage you, to tell you, that though you may be walking through the darkest valley, struggling to keep your head above the water, or crying out to God in the moments of loneliness, HE IS WITH YOU. He may be telling you NO to your hearts desire. He may be asking you to WAIT for the storm to pass. He may be telling you YES to things you don’t think you want. Hold tight, pray, seek his face, meditate on his word, and rest in the truth that he WILL work ALL things out for your GOOD and for his GLORY.

God be with you, and may you feel his presence as you wait! All my love ❤

 Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.
Proverbs 8:34

Season of Fear

There is no fear in the LORD, but yet we in our flesh still struggle with this very real and exceedingly intense feeling that can overwhelm and drown us if we are not cautious.  Fear comes and we must, as Christians, face it head on and see it for what it is….a ploy by Satan to deter us from the beauty and peace that is found in God and His promises for us!  Take a second to think about what fears are holding you back from receiving the promises of God.  Is it fear of failure?  Fear of rejection?  Fear of losing earthly possessions like your home or your car?  Fear of being alone?  Fear of the unknown?  What fear is driving you away from the arms of God?  Take that fear, pray, give it to God and let Him handle it for He is bigger and promises us rest.  Once He takes hold of it, then we are free to grow and mature in our walk with Him.

Blessings to you all and may the peace of God which surpasses all understanding guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)

The LORD will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest.
~ Psalm 85:11 ~

Greater ~ MercyMe

Everyone wrestles with the world, with its perceptions and views of what and who we are to be. We often wrestle with doubt, fear, hurt, condemnation, and anxiety. However, God is greater than all that we face, feel, think, or wrestle with! He is the Victor, and through Him we find freedom and victory no matter what we battle.

May the peace of God surround you and fill you with the knowledge that you are God’s child, His joy and His creation, and He loves you and will be with you through it all.

God bless and keep you always!
All my love ❤

Only One

In this world we are constantly protecting our heart and mind from the diseases of hopelessness and despair! Pressure comes against us and circumstances rise up, bringing fear and anxiety.  Hearts get broken with others words or character is defaced by someone’s malicious ways. No matter where we walk on this earth, there will be trouble for we live in a fallen world; a world that is not going to get better, but rather is waxing worse each day. The only way to find hope is to place your heart and life into the hands of the One who can bring you true peace (Philippians 4:6-7). The Son of God was sacrificed that we may find hope and assurance in something better than this world (Titus 2:11-14, Hebrews 9:28, Jude 1:21).

It is imperative that you remember the trials and tribulations you face here on earth are temporary, lasting but a brief moment in the entire scheme of your life. Rather than focusing on the circumstances you face in the here and now, focus on the joy and peace that is set before you in the real of heaven. Though this world is real, your reality does not have to be based on the things of earth, but in Christ, who not only is with you now, but will be with you in eternity. He is stronger than all you face, he is the key to calming your troubled heart.

Believe in the promises of God, seek His truth, abide in His word, and trust in His provision and strength. Take some time to dive into His word, resting on His promise for eternal life, and take your eyes off the craziness of this world, focusing them on the only cure that exists for the disease of hopelessness and despair–John 14:1-7, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, Deuteronomy 31:6, Genesis 15:1, and Revelation 2:10.

You will keep him in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed on You,
because he trusts in You.
~ Isaiah 26:3

Situation continue to wax worse each day
Fear encompasses like a fierce storm
Merely existing in this broken world

Listen with ears of faith
See with eyes of hope
Abide in the promises of the LORD

The only One reality that will carry you through

The Storm

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
~ Psalm 18:2 ~

The Storm

Grey clouds hover
Blocking the sunlight
Storms on the horizon
Flooding the soul

Winds blow wildly
Tossing me to and fro
Holding tight to God
I will never let go

Lightening crashes
Blinding the heart
Causing confusion
So easily I fall apart

The thunder resounds
Bringing heartbreak and pain
But this to will pass
For God will break the chain

Clouds will clear
Winds will fade
Within this storm
I will not be afraid

For God is near
He holds me in his hands
Peace will come
For in Him I stand

Know

I have been praying and seeking guidance from the Lord for many years, but it never fails, just as life calms down the storms seem to rage again, bringing me back to my first love–The Lord Himself!

Do you ever have times in your life when you are smiling on the outside, but inside you feel chaos, fear, frustration, and anguish? Ever had times where you just want the world to stop and let you off for just a little bit–a break in the storm. Ah, there I sit in the midst of the storm, but still praising God as I know I will learn so much and be refined that much more into the image of Christ. How funny too, that as I was reading one of my online devotionals today, these scriptures should be the focus:

James 1:4 And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

1 Peter 1:6,7 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith–of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire–may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Romans 5:3,4 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

God is indeed so good and his timing is perfect! I so needed the reminder of what God is doing in my life; of how he brings glory, goodness, and life from the chaotic storms that rage. Perhaps you are in the same boat. Maybe you are questioning why you must endure the storm or you may be tired and drained from the trials that you face. I know not what your journey is, but I do know God is with you always! He is faithful and will never leave you or forsake you.

Joshua 1:5 No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

“Be still and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
The LORD of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.
Psalm 46:10-11
