Taste and See that the Lord is Good!

In this life there will always be trouble. Pain and heartache will come to all those we know and love at some point, in some time, in some way. Despite the intensity and the despair that may come, God is always faithful.  For every pain, he will bring healing, be it in this world or when we get to heaven.  For every heartache, he will bring joy.  They may not come in our time, nor may we see the end of the tunnel in sight, but that is where trust comes into play.  Do you trust that the Lord is holding you?  Do you trust that he is bigger than the pain or heartache?  Do you trust that he will see you through and bless you with endurance and strength to make it through?  Do you trust he will rescue you and shelter you in the shadow of his wings?

O my friends, taste and see that the Lord is good!  Good indeed and full of mercy and grace.  He is with you and he will never leave you nor forsake you, and he will help you through all that he brings you to.  Ask and you shall receive.  Trust and you will believe!

Together You can Make It!!

For our light affliction, which is for the moment,
works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory;
while we look not at the things which are seen,

No matter the obstacle, no matter the trial you are facing, no matter how grim life may seem, please know that there is nothing in this world that will measure up to the glory that you will receive in heaven. God knows that life has its ascents an descents, but through it all he reaches out to you, offering to carry you to eternal glory. Keep your eyes on God, focus on the blessings, trust that God’s presence will surround you always (even when you don’t feel it!). Take His hand and know that with God, you can make it through anything–look how far you have made it already!

Waves of Life

Glimmering in the reflection of sunlight
Momentarily resting gently at the dock
Tattered yet sea worthy
This boat sits dented and dirty
Storms of chaos pass through
Winds of trials toss it to and fro
Waves of temptation crash over it
Tides of life rise
Trying to consume
Gales of worldly wind seek to destroy
Yet still it remains tethered to the dock
Anchored in Christ redeeming blood
Securely resting in the Lord

Seems that when it rains, it pours! Just as my clouds begin to clear, I find that others around me are struggling greatly. Some are dealing with losing their homes, others facing severe illnesses, and still others are facing marriage problems and financial hardships. In this life, the trials just keep coming and striking blows harder than we can often handle. But alas, God walks through all the storms of life with us, keeping us in the palm of his hands, holding us tight and filling us with love and peace deep in our souls.

It is imperative that you remember and hold tight to the knowledge that with the joy of Christ in your heart, you can be an overcomer, residing in his strength to see you through and his wisdom to direct your steps.  God bless and keep you always my friends ❤

I love it when God places a song on my heart to keep me going through the storm! Praise be to Him….in spite of my circumstances, despite my fears, and regardless of the mountains I face!! No matter the trial or circumstances, may you all enjoy the blessing of the Lord’s peace, love, and all-encompassing goodness.
