I have come to realize that time is such a valuable commodity. Not that I didn’t know that already, just that it has become ever so much more apparent as I have grown older. Scripture tells us in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 that there is time for everything.
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
I don’t know about you, but I tend to want to mold and shape time into my schedule, to fit my needs or desires. I want to do or make things happen when I want them to, but time doesn’t let me. God doesn’t let me! After all I am not the creator of time nor the creator of my life…God is. It is with much patience and endurance that I await my hearts desires, trusting that there is a time for everything, and right now my time is to focus on prioritizing, spending precious moments with my quickly growing son, and reveling in the quiet time I can spend with my Lord.
May the Lord guide you in all you do, help you make the most of your time, and give you peace to wait.
God bless and keep you always.
